Don’t Give Up

Don’t Give Up

Who Touched me?

There are so many that reach out to me that are on the brink of giving up – they feel their prayers are not being heard, their Churches are not encouraging them to go on and they dont have strong Christian friends locally to pull them up from the pit.

I know the drill of being in these situations as well.
Faith is Trust. Trust brings hope. So when you pray Jesus promised us that God our good father hears us. Jesus is not a man that he lies to us. so we know that our prayers are heard.
Jesus also told us the story of the unjust judge in Luke 18 that corrected the widow’s case as she kept pleading and how much more our good heavenly father the righteous judge would handle our case. It is a reminder to keep praying. Jesus also reminded us that our Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Prayer requests have 3 answeres to them. Yes, no and later. We need to have the grace to understand how God works and trust in his counsel and that he knows best.

I am always reminded of a story when talking about prayer how God sometimes works from the other end.
There was a woman friend of mine who had been earnestly praying for a situation but she did not feel the answers coming to her ans she was getting more and more worried about being lost and stranded. When God gave her a dream. In the dream, she was standing in the middle of a Forrest with trees all around hardly seeing the sky or the directions to go. So in the dream, God told her to command the tree in front of her to fall down.
So she started commanding the tree to fall down. over and over and over again and nothing seemed to happen.
She was about to give up when she found the strength to it a few times more… in the end… her hope was gone.
but she mumbled the word out In Jesus name I command you to fall. Now as she did that the tree fell down. to her amazement she saw a road trough the whole forest and that God had started to work on the path on the other end to get to he Now she could walk out of the forest after the new path.

We also have this scripture here
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

We have to be in alignment with the word and heart of God in our prayers. We sometimes get to focused on the Me, Myself and I in our prayers that can get us stuck and frustrated in our prayer life.

Solitude for to long is a hard enemy Jesus sent out the disciples two and two so if one falls the other one can lend a helping hand.
Ecclesiastic 4.
For if one falls down, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to help him up!
Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Get a friend to pray and fellowship with, even though its just trough social media that can be a life rope for you.
No matter what you do – dont let go of God.

Who touched me?
“Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.” She came up behind Jesus and touched the fringe of His cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.
Keep reaching out in faith like that woman for your breakthrough!

Faith is Trust – Trust brings you HOPE in God.
Now stir up your faith, trust and Hope – dont allow your faith to fall asleep in the light.
