The Art Of Senses Of The Seer

The Art Of Senses Of The Seer

The art of the seer, hearing, sensing, feeling, discerning, smelling, tasting.

I wake up in the mornings and I can smell if its going to rain or snow, be cold or warm. Rain has a smell and so does snow and summer and winter.

In the past we would talk about people having a nose for the weather. as some people can smell the storms coming. With all the tech we have stopped being aware of the gifts God gives to us, not only the natural gifts but the spiritual gifts. We are not just carnal beings but spiritual and when we are born again God gives us his spirit within us so that we know him, hear him and what is of him and what is not. We call that discernment.

But the church has ignored teaching about the ways of the spirit and moves of God out of fear and lack of knowledge or I should say lack of walking in the spirit.

1 Cor 2:14
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Out of fear some church leaders have focused on the word only – then there are those that focus on the spiritual thing only and that results in Chaos. we have to have both in order to get balance and we have to realize that we need each other. We need the word – it is the foundation we build on – but listen without being led by the spirit of God we cant discern what God desires to do in us and through us. When we are filled with the spirit we know his voice and what is of him and what is not.

Hebrews 5:14 says …..even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

We have degraded the spiritual walk to obedience with the scriptures instead of living a vibrant life in the spirit and walking with God. hearing, sensing, feeling, tasting, seeing the ways of the Lord are gifts given to us. That we need to train ourselves in.

The first step is simply being aware of how the Lord speaks. Dont expect a trumpet and a loud voice in heaven coming saying “Thus sayeth the Lord”

God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit and often in the most gentle nudges. like the most distinguished gentleman you would ever know. Often in the form of suggestions and ideas, reminders, hints, and nudges. and scriptures coming to life as you read and are led to apply to your life.
