Do You Know God

Do You Know God

Do you Know God?

Moses prayed: If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you.

Theology without experience is a disappointment.

Daniel says the same thing in the psalms. “If I have found favor in Your sight, let me know Your ways that I may know You, so that I may find favor in Your sight.”

Jesus said to the Pharisees and scholars of his day. “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.”

We can read a biography about a person.  We can learn about the person; get to know things and information about a person. But when we meet that person on our way, that person does not know us. If you will approach that person like you know her, she would respond “Who are you?”

We can learn many things, but a relationship is not learned in books but by fellowship. Jesus made it clear that he would not leave us as orphans but that he would send us the Helper the Holy Spirit that will teach us and guide us. Jesus also said he no longer calls his disciples servants but friends.

How can you be a friend to God or any person through book knowledge?  Its not possible.

Ask yourself today how do you know God?

  • Book Knowledge?
  • As a Servant?
  • As a Professor?
  • Friend, Son and an Heir of the Kingdom?

When you become a son/daughter, God will manifest his kingdom through you and you will bear fruit and bring the kingdom to earth.
