Being a prophet or prophetic minister is not about a “one time” gift you are given. But it is about that person walking in a constant relationship with God.
A lot of people may feel or have felt a calling to the prophetic ministry and have indeed received an invitation and an impartation. But walking in the spirit is always about a flow of giving and receiving. Prophetic people that do not practice this kind of relationship with God and each other have big tendencies to run stagnant, bitter, cold and distant. Minister in anger and resentment. up against everyone and everything, fault finding and finger-pointing on others and not looking in the mirror. When things are not in the right atmosphere they will rot and stink.
Ministry or relationship with God is never about that one encounter. but a love relationship that is ongoing. and if you arent able to minister in Love. Take a break from ministry and draw yourself closer to God.
God has to have a voice into our lives that can correct and course-correct us when needed. and we all need another set of eyes to help us stay at the right place in God. Prophetic ministry is not for lone rangers anymore. We all need people to walk with and be sharpened and pruned.
