Hey you that have been in ministry! Are you feeling burnt out? Have you lost your zeal, your fire, and hunger?
Do you feel disappointed or that God has let you down?
I want to challenge and encourage you at the same time.
Let me first tell you I have been there done that bought the t-shirt, asked God to take me home, tried to quit, complain roll over and just getting silence on the other end. I think sometimes God just watches us like little children in the sandbox… God and Jesus talking… Hey Dad.. when do you think he will stand up. just give him a minute. Son.. he will manage and learn to stand up on his own he needs to learn that, we cant help him to much. He needs to find his inner strength to the core of his being. Sometimes it is just like that. Get over it – before you disagree with me. I have been down the darkest pits … but always woke up again.
Now let me just give you one scripture.
Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Does it say God rewards those that have done so much ministry, led 236 people to the kingdom, healed the sick and done all the works? NO it does not.
God will reward those that diligently seek him.
Dont seek God based on the work you do – he is anyway the one that give you the power to do them.
Dont come to God with the attitude.. God I have done so much for you now I deserve this and that. I have done so much for you God… you just dont understand how much I sacrificed God we need to stop this approach and entitlement to God.
Got to know God “he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Seek him not his gifts, or benefits but HIM.
We get so caught up in the wrong thing sometimes. and our theology gets messed up and we just go after the promises of God but not God. so we stop seeking God and from there the road to burnout and disappointment is very short.
If you are in this place today I want to take time to pray for you. Because I know how real this battle is – trying to do all you can do but nothing seems to work. But this is not the end of your story.
Just hold on you will be going through and be able to encourage yourself to seek God again and grow in your relationship and the fire and hunger rekindled again.
Find people to walk with that are God-seekers and walk with them. The corporate anointing has a way of drawing us near the Lord and impacting our lives.
